Fine Motor Cheerios Name Pasting Day

The children love playing with Cheerios...they are yummy, they are small and one can do so many things with them! Our stringing of cheerios onto spaghetti was such a successful fine motor activity, that we decided to extend it. We wrote the children's names on cardboard and pasted contact paper down on the letters. Unfortunately the cheerios didn't stick so well on the contact, so with the help of the teachers we traced the letters with glue and the children could paste their cheerios on their name. A super name recognition and great fine motor control exercise.  Constantia and Shasmida helped quite a bit with this one, but the kids enjoyed it anyway.
