Winter themed week...the Tots had so much fun discussing an African Winter and what it entails! We dressed babies in Winter clothes, expanding our vocabulary on the kind of things we wear during winter.
We made "Winter Soup"... a fantastic pretend play activity where we mixed coloured water, experimenting with colours, pouring, ladling, whisking, experimenting and just having great fun. To end off our Winter theme for this week, we had a barbeque around a pit fire where the kids cooked stick bread, sausage and made s'mores. I'll let the pictures tell the tale...
A really special week filled with sensory fun and exploration. The tots did "stomp art" on huge pieces of paper on the concrete where they dipped their feet in paint and created art.
They spent ages painting and playing with a big old box we got and various loose part packing material. The creative and imaginative games around it was fantastic!
We played with and painted with shaving foam and played with reflections and colours cutting jelly on mirrors.
We also celebrated two special little sister's birthdays and the children had a blast decorating their own cupcakes! Thank you so much for organising that Corne!
