Numeracy Truck Count Day

Today our tots played their favourite numeracy game with Constantia...loading up the truck! We place a number between 1 and 5 on the truck and they count out the corresponding amount of lego blocks and load them onto the truck...such fun! Some more fantastic imagination rich games that revolved around our boxes and packaging material.

Frottage Day

Some more fantastic exploration and recycling with our boxes and packaging material! The spongy packing sheets became roads, rivers, sensory walkways and convergence junctions.
We used the textured board to make exciting frottages (rubbings) with our crayons and explored the snowy texture and properties of styrofoam.

Eleanor came to do a kindermusic class with us and the children loved it!

Excellent exploring; well done gang!

Imagination Play Box Day

The wonderful thing about new furniture arriving is the big boxes! We did extensive fantasy play today where the boxes turned into rockets, cars and ships! The children painted and drew on the boxes and spent AGES enjoying them. The spongy packaging material became roads, rivers and the ocean. They make great obstacle courses and are deliciously squishy on the feet. Our children have such amazing, rich imaginations.
They also really enjoyed our new puppy, Bella. She is the newest addition to the family and is Beatrix's little friend. :) The children were so gentle and loving towards her...especially Paco!
