Free Painting and Nature Collage Day

Happy Friday everyone! The tots did some terrific free, expressionistic painting today. They then collected bits of grasses, twigs, leaves, flowers etc from around the yard and pasted them on their work. They look marvelous…well done gang!

 

Counting Eggs and Volume Measuring Popcorn Day

Busy day today at Tiny Tots! The children build their names with our Montessori Name Blocks, they measured volume by transferring a fresh batch of popcorn to various containers, they played a counting game using a dozen play eggs and did LOTS of playing!

Jelly, Scissors and Butter Knives Exploration Day

Today the tots had a fantastic, sensory time, digging into different coloured jelly on our mirror. They cut the jelly into cubes with butter knives, they cut it with scissors, (a lovely, non-threatening way of learning to use scissors) mixed the colours with their fingers and, of course, sampled the different flavors as they explored!

We did our lovely Montessori Name/Letter matching activity and the children can do it almost entirely on their own! Well done gang!
