Reflection, Transparency and Colour Exploration Day

On Friday the tots had a fantastic colour exploration day using our “frog eggs” water beads, the mirror and food colourant in squeezy bottles and syringes. It was a beautiful activity of observing the transparency of the coloured beads, the colours they reflected off the mirror and onto our faces and the amazing process of dyeing them with food colourant. The children loved watching the coloured liquids mix to form new colours. Using a mirror and the sun in this projects makes it a delightful light display. The children used forks to spear the beads afterwards for a great fine motor excercise.

The children did “frog jumps” from pillow to pillow, enjoyed our small world invitation to play and did some wonderful exploration. Well done gang!
