What an exciting start to the Namibian Independence weekend! We packed up our our kids, snacks, sand trucks and balls and went for an epic picnic by Avis Dam. The children LOVED being outside, and we were blessed to have wonderfully cool, cloudy weather. Exploring and playing outside is the absolute best way for little ones to connect to nature and to respect it for all its awesomeness :) Some lovely sensory messy play happened in the mud and shallows of the Dam. I'll let the pictures tell it all. Thank you all the mommies who joined us! It was such a wonderful, community event...I hope we can do it again some time! Lovely weekend to everyone!
