Car Painting Day

Today the children painted with cars! The “hotwheels” brand has wheels with interesting textures on them, so when the kids drove the cars through their paint and onto their page, exciting patterns and colour mixing started to emerge! Our bathing the babies play activity was such a success this week that we decided to let the children wash their cars in warm soapy water after the art activity…they enjoyed it thoroughly.
Well done on excellent “Driving Art” gang!

Nadine came to do a German enrichment session with our kids…as usual it looks like they had oodles of fun.

We try to allow as much time as possible for our children to investigate and explore. I read a quote today from Sunflower Creative Arts Educare center in America that I am following: “What if your child’s first educational experience didn’t just prepare them for kindergarten? What if it prepared them for life?”
This rings SO true for me and for what our little school is about. It is about creating a loving, nurturing environment that focuses on self-expression, exploration, learning about compassion, kindness and friendship. It’s about nourishing that deep-seated desire to investigate and create whilst using that incredibly fertile imagination. I am SO proud of all the children, teachers and parents who are helping us make this vision come true. Thank you everyone :)
