Happy Friday everyone!
The children had a blast today, mixing
colours with the coloured foam we made, making music together, playing and
exploring…we did a mirror sensory play activity where the children could use
spoons and other tools to dish out/move around various natural and man made
objects on the mirror. Watching reflections is a fascinating experience, for
both adults and children. The children didn’t just notice the reflections of
the objects they were manipulating, but also the reflections of the tree under
which they played, the sky, the clouds, and, of course, themselves. We also encouraged them
to squirt diluted food colouring on the mirror and over the objects and this
changed the colour of the reflection, almost like using a camera filter. Great
exploring and investigating everyone! Have a super weekend. :)
