Circle Pattern making day

Our Art Messy Play activity today was using jars dipped in paint to create a circle art piece. Pattern making is an important skill for young children to explore for developing sequencing ability, recognizing and learning about shapes, fine motor coordination and of course, developing a sense of visual unity. What better way to do it than in a fun, shared art activity?! The children created beautiful Art Pieces with their jars.

We did some further exploring with our homemade light box today. We experimented and explored playing with fridge magnet letters and numbers as well as natural objects like shells and pebbles.  The light from beneath give these ordinary objects an extraordinary quality and the way that the light interacts with them is both interesting and beautiful.

The kids had a great time playing imaginative games with the boxes again! They also created wonders with playdough and, of course, did a lot of playing and exploring outside.
Super effort, imagination and kindness shown today everyone! Well done!
