Spaghetti Painting Day

The children love the warm, squishy, slightly slimy texture of cooked spaghetti. Digging into a pile of the stuff is a wondrous sensory experience for toddlers! Today we gave them paintbrushes and paint to go wild with on the spaghetti. The kids did a great job painting the strands in bright colours! They then used their hands to mix the spaghetti and blending the colours and “printed” the painted spaghetti onto paper! They made pretty interesting patterns.
We are continuing with our sensory letter explorations and doing quite a bit of reinforcement at the moment with repeating the children’s favourite colour matching and numeracy games and activities.
