Shape Sorting and Nature Paintbrush Exploration Day

Constantia and Shasmida pasted large shapes on the cement with masking tape and collected a heap of everyday objects for the children to sort into the various different shapes. It takes quite a bit of lateral thinking and concentration for toddlers to determine whether a commonly used, 3Dimensional shaped object can be sorted into a 2Dimensional circle, square or triangle.
The children did exceptionally well.
We picked some branches of the Christmas trees and made natural paintbrushes! The children had a great time painting pebbles with their new paintbrushes. A wonderful sensory exploration. Well done gang!
