This morning Shasmida put together our home-made
lightbox for the kids with different magnetic letters on top for them to
explore. For our activity today, we poured sand over the top of the light box
and Constantia showed the kids how they can write the first letter of their name
in the sand. The children then had oodles of fun drawing in the sand and
watching the lights shine through the patterns they were creating. A wonderful sensory
learning experience.
We gave the kids a bucket and rope today
and set up an improvised pulley system from the tree-house. It is amazing how
long a bucket and rope can keep little ones entertained! They would load the
bucket at the bottom, pull it up and unload it at the top…hours of fun!
