A Painting Kind Of Day…And Puppy Play!

Okay; I have to get this off my chest…we have a new puppy! Her name is Beatrix Brown and she is a 10 week old chocolate lab. She is adorable and LOVES kids. We are so lucky! My plan is to have her spend some time with the children during the day, that they may learn to love, play and interact with each other in a compassionate, respectful and loving way.

This week our little group was very small as there is a nasty tummy bug going round... so make sure to up the vitamin C intake for the rest of May folks! Much love and strength to all our little friends who are recovering from this nasty! We hope to see you soon!

Today we started practicing painting straight lines, moving from the left to the right hand side of the page ( excellent for early literacy ) painting lines from the top to the bottom. This is a crucial skill for little ones to grasp and requires concentration, fine motor control and spacial orientation.
After accomplishing such a task the kids grabbed some brushes and did some wild, expressive painting…always super fun.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
