Montessori Chrismas Tree Craft Day

Today the children did a fun activity where they sorted through different lengths of green strips of paper. They arranged the strips from long to short, stacking them on top of each other and in the process, creating a beautiful Christmas tree!
This is a terrific early numeracy activity where toddlers can use rational thought, comparing and experimentation skills to gauge whether one strip is longer or shorter than the next one.
Once sorted, they pasted the strips down on a sheet and decorated their tree by pasting tinsel on it; great for exercising those fine-motor skills!

Excellent work...well done gang!
