Explosive Painting Day

Today the Tots did a super fun Art activity where they painted with a mixture of food colourant and bicarb. They then used syringes and squeeze bottles to drip vinegar onto their painting, creating a delicious “explosion” effect on their page that mixed the colours beautifully! The children loved the bubbly reaction between their special paint and the vinegar, and couldn’t get enough of it! Lots of imaginative play, collaborative problem solving in circle time, playing and exploring today.
The children are amazed by our evaporation experiment. In this sunny weather, the water level just keeps getting lower and lower!
