I see our bunnies are really popular!
The children did some great Sensory, fine motor activities like scooping balls out of water with a ladle,
transferring rocks with tongs into eggboxes,
finding pipecleaner "flowers" in a sensory tray of split peas and pulling them up with with a magnet and locking and unlocking padlocks.
The children also strung leaves onto a a thread of wool...an activity that took a lot of concentration, fine motor control and patience...they were super at it.
We did a fun numeracy activity of counting apples on a sheet of paper and attaching the corresponding number of pegs...also great for developing and strengthening those little hand muscles for writing. Our own Shasmida and Tracy made a great game of colour identification "pinball" using toilet tubes and a plastic bead...what a hit with the kids!
For literacy the children are doing a nature activity of building out the first letter of their name with pebbles.
Our Gross motor game is also very popular with the children; carefully guiding a ball through a labyrinth using only your feet...fun times.
