Numeracy and Sensory exploration

A wonderful week we had of sensory nature play with clay and natural materials, building our names with clay in 3D and then (the older kiddos) explored further by copying the shapes of the letters on paper.

The children did a great sequencing activity of colour which is fantastic for early numeracy development.

We had a fun sensory "floating cork" fishing activity and a shape stacking activity that demands listening to instructions, logical thinking and problem solving skills.
The children seemed to come up with the most creative and fun games that would invove three or more of them at a time...so beautiful to witness xx
