Swimming Day

This week the children are exploring farm animals. We have a visiting goat and a pig and of course our chickens are growing daily. They've been feeding and interacting with the animals daily which is exciting!
This week we have a sensory activity of washing the muddy farm animals, where we have plastic animals in a sensory tray mud setting, which the tots can play with and then scrub the animals down afterwards with warm soapy water.
A wonderful counting activity where the tots count out farm animals up to 10 on numbered blocks.

An early numeracy and logic activity where the tots match animal skin patterns to the actual animals and a great early literacy activity where we've printed animal cards and the tots can match the 3D animals on the 2D animals, naming and talking about them as they go.
