Swimming, Fizzing Cloud dough and more

Today's post includes Friday's pictures of Parachute play and Free-choice rotation station fun. This week our rotation stations are:
1. Shape cutting out of polystyrene containers using butter knives. Excellent for hand muscle strengthening, fine motor control and shape recognition

2. Fizzing Cloud dough experimentation station- a wonderful sensory station where tots can play and experiment with Cloud dough (a sticky mixture of flour, food colourant and bicarb) and drip vinegar with it to observe an exciting fizzing chemical reaction

3. A baby care fantasy play station where the tots wash, towel dry, cream, brush the teeth of and dress dolls. Many of our children have baby siblings and it is wonderful for them to enact caring scenarios as well as routines which they themselves do daily (like brushing teeth, dressing etc) Even the smallest of tots loved this activity.

4. Magnet sensory exploration- Some more exciting magnetic experimentation and play where we prepare trays of rice, pasta, beans and metal objects for the toddlers to experiment with magnetism using our  big magnets.
